Lyle and Sam Harvey harvesting and hauling hay on a hot August day!

We are Lyle and Sam Harvey of Creek Bend Farm. Our goal as farmers and stewards of the land is to produce healthy food for the community.  We achieve this through sustainable livestock management, which over time produces deeper, richer soil, healthier grass and cleaner streams.  We let Nature guide our farming practices.  All of our practices are shaped by the goal of improving the health of the land, the animals, and the community.

We are a small family farm in the rolling hills of Middle Tennessee.  Established by Rob and Nora Harvey in 1979, Creek Bend Farm was originally a dairy farm.   After the dairy closed in 2003, we became inspired by the local, sustainable food movement and started envisioning how we could use my parents' beautiful 230 acre farm to produce healthy food for ourselves and our community.  In 2011 my wife and I moved back to the family farm and began raising grass-fed beef.   We have gradually expanded our operation into pastured poultry, eggs, lamb and pork.

We raise happy, 100% grass-fed beef and lamb, pastured pork, chicken and eggs.  Sustainability is not a chore at Creek Bend Farm; it’s a joy to watch our animals freely express themselves whether that be by grazing, pecking or rooting in the pastures.

We welcome you to visit our farm anytime and experience for yourselves the joy of being connected to the land and animals that sustain and feed our community.
